Take it easy. The first thing that comes to mind for me is the old Eagles song. And that is a good thing for me, as it brings back memories of my youth and some good times and great people. Today, however, I feel a need to “Take it Easy” in a different way.
There are two things causing stress in my life. I wrote an article a couple of days ago about recharging my battery. Obviously, this past election cycle has been very contentious. And I have to say, I received a very small handful of attacks from Hillary or Bernie supporters. Most attacks came from people on “my” side of the aisle.
For the first time ever, I was on the “inside” of a national race as I helped in my congressman’s campaign. What goes on behind the scenes is beyond the pale. I can only imagine what a presidential race must be like, and I can doubly understand why decent people refuse to run, for any office.
Another passionate issue I have is for the republic and the terrible slide we are on towards democratic socialism. We will never have any rest from this.
Today, I plan to take it easy. My plan for my life was as a professional photographer until I learned to fly. I then decided that cameras were a cheaper hobby than airplanes and changed direction. I still love photography and would like to share some favorites. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I loved taking them.
Super moon rising…
