Fairly recently I have written a couple of articles that tell you where I am mentally and emotionally. I Don’t Think I Can Take It Any Longer voiced my frustration with the system and the people who have enabled the chaos. My last article, Challenge and Opportunity is directed at you, my readers, and I hope you will accept my challenge.
This morning, a friend posted his frustration with the Republicans in the House and Senate on Facebook– how they have been handed the reins and are seemingly doing nothing now after the disaster of “Repeal and Replace.” He suggested they were waiting for or hoping President Trump would commit seppuku or political suicide. I suggested that nothing has changed; this is business as usual for the past 15-20 years.
The world is in turmoil as a direct result of imperial governments of the 19th and early 20th centuries, and the attempt to protect investments and control regions. The present day issues in the Middle East and the Korean Peninsula are a direct result of this meddling.
Many of us know someone who has cancer as a result of a previous treatment that at the time was thought to be cutting edge and the best hope for survival or from an unknown side-effect of a product, such as asbestos. Often decisions made by politicians and bureaucrats have similar side-effects.
THE CANCER THAT IS SPREADING IN REGIONS OF THE WORLD IS THE DIRECT RESULT OF GEOPOLITICAL MICRO MANAGEMENT.
Cancer is attacked with a three-pronged approach. It is cut out, starved, and any remaining cells are killed. Just as with cancer where cells can hide and escape the treatment only to multiply and grow years later, it will be impossible to eradicate the problems that were previously created. Are we going to nuke North Korea? Are we going to turn the Middle East into a “sea of glass?” Of course not.
What is the solution? I don’t know. What I do know is that if we avoid some sort of worldwide conflagration, it will only be temporary. Our real problem is at home. Our nation has become full of whining, ignorant babies focused only on themselves, and unless and until we fix that, the very republic is in danger. If we cannot fix ourselves, we will never be able to help fix anyone else.
We will continue to elect arrogant, self-serving people in our local, state and federal offices until we become the people WE should be. The key is education and personal action. It is the reason I am a district captain for the Convention of States Project. It is the reason I am starting a local chapter of Founder’s Keep. While I am not a prepper in the sense of having a well-stocked bunker to survive some excrement hitting the air circulator scenario, however, we have prepared our family to survive and be entirely self-sufficient for a long term failure of the system. The potential for a misstep on any side is huge; the stakes are astronomical.
In my article, Challenge and Opportunity, I offered the challenge. I repeat it here. Are you going to voice an opinion on Facebook and then sleep well at night because you “told them” how you felt. Maybe you even wrote your elected representative. But what did YOU do? Have you done a thorough self-examination? Do you really understand the founder’s original intent? Do you like a big and intrusive government as long as it does the things you like? Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?
I CHALLENGE YOU TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION!
